What is a date box?
Our date boxes are date night in a box! It doesn’t matter if you have been together for a week or 50 years, our date boxes are for ALL couples who want to connect with each other. We know how hard it can be to get out the house to go on a date, especially if you have small kids. Each date box comes with a brief of its contents and anything extra you may need for your date. Plus you can check out our date-night play lists on Spotify if you want to add a little extra atmosphere.
What are the delivery options and charges?
We have done our best to be as competitive as we can for courier delivery with three set rates.
Auckland metro $6.50
Nationwide $10.50 (Rural +$3)
Can I specify a delivery day?
Please let us know in the comments box at checkout if you would like your gift box or date box to arrive on a specific day. We will do our utmost best to arrange this, however we can not be held responsible if this doesn’t occur. If no date is specified we will by default send your order on the next working day. We will always contact you via email if there are any issues in regards to shipping your order.
Can I order from overseas?
Whilst we are not currently shipping outside of New Zealand, you can certainly purchase from over seas to be sent within New Zealand. Doesn’t that make gift purchasing easier!
May I include a personal message with my gift?
Yes! We have little custom cards with enough space for about 50 words. There is a special space on the purchase page for you to write your personal message. We will hand write this message on one of our cards for that added personal touch.
What if the item does not arrive or is damaged?
Please inform us if the item arrives damaged or does not arrive at all, we shall contact the courier provider and organise a replacement product to be shipped to you immediately.
May I return my order if I am not happy with it or no longer want it?
We have taken much care and thought to only stock quality products and ensure they leave our premises in perfect condition. Due to the type of products we sell, we can not refund your purchase if you change your mind. If you are unhappy with the quality, please get in touch via email and we will do our best to come to a resolution. We will always come to the party with the Consumer Guarantees Act if our products are faulty, not fit for purpose or have been wrongly described.
What are the payment options?
Giftcare uses both Stripe and Paypal to accept payment via Visa or MasterCard. Please note that we at Giftcare do not see or store your credit card information. This is handled directly by Stripe and Paypal which are both PCI compliant meaning they satisfy best practice security requirements, and do not store your credit card details after your payment has been processed.
Can I pay via internet banking?
Yes, however you will need to email us so we can send you through an invoice with the banking details. Once the payment has been processed we will ship your goods. This is also our standard protocol for any custom orders.
May I pick up my order in person?
Unfortunately we do not allow pick ups as this is an online store only.
Are there any taxes to pay on your products?
Yes, all of our products include New Zealand goods and services tax (GST), and is inclusive of the stated price per each item.
Will the food items survive in the post?
Most of our boxes contain edible items, we do ensure these have a minimum of one month on the best before to retain freshness. We can not guarantee that in hot weather the chocolate wont melt, but we do package our boxes exceptionally well to ensure these items don’t get broken.
I really like the idea of using Giftcare for my staff and client gifts, how can you help me?
We are able to curate custom boxes to fit any budget always with a naturally minded twist, please get in touch and we can discuss the ins and outs. We also offer discounts when 10 or more boxes are purchased.
Do you ever change the products in your Boxes without making changes to the website?
On the rare occasion that we are having difficulties with supply for a product we reserve the right to replace it with a similar product of the same or greater value. We will always advise you of this via email before sending.
